About Free Spotify Album / Track Cover Art Resizer

Our Free Spotify Album / Track Cover Art Resizer is a specialized tool designed to help musicians, artists, and labels prepare cover art images for their Spotify albums and tracks. Whether you're uploading a new release or updating existing cover art, our resizer automatically generates perfectly sized square images (640×640 to 10,000×10,000 pixels), ensures sRGB color space conversion, removes embedded color profiles and orientation metadata, and outputs in lossless formats (TIFF, PNG, or JPEG) as required by Spotify. The tool includes comprehensive validation checks, interactive square cropping with drag-to-reposition and zoom controls, dimension selection within the allowed range, color space conversion options, metadata handling, and warnings to prevent upscaling. Create cover art that meets Spotify's exact specifications and uploads without issues.

How to Use Our Free Spotify Album / Track Cover Art Resizer

  1. Upload your image: Click "Choose image file" and select your cover art image. The tool will automatically validate format, dimensions, aspect ratio, color space, and metadata.
  2. Review validation: Check the validation results - the tool will show if your image is square (1:1), within 640-10,000px range, in sRGB color space, and has any embedded profiles or orientation metadata.
  3. Adjust crop: Use the interactive cropper to drag the image and reposition it, and use the zoom slider to adjust the crop area. The tool defaults to a 1:1 square crop.
  4. Select output size: Choose any square dimension between 640×640 and 10,000×10,000 pixels. The tool will warn you if your source image is smaller than 640×640 (no upscaling allowed).
  5. Configure color/metadata: Enable "Convert to sRGB" if needed, "Remove embedded color profile" to strip ICC profiles, and "Flatten orientation" to remove EXIF rotation data.
  6. Review warnings: If your source image is below 640×640, you'll see a clear warning: "Spotify says don't upscale—use a higher-res image."
  7. Choose output format: Select PNG (recommended default for lossless encoding), TIFF (also lossless), or JPG (if you can meet lossless encoding requirements).
  8. Resize: Click "Resize Cover Art" to automatically generate your square cover art with proper color space and metadata handling.
  9. Download: Download your resized cover art (e.g., spotify-cover-3000x3000.png) and upload it to your Spotify for Artists profile or distributor.
